    About the role#

    This co-op position offers hands-on experience in evaluating and validating embedded software for gas detection systems. You will work within the engineering team in Delta, BC, to ensure the quality and reliability of safety-critical systems.

    What you'll do#

    • Conduct functional, performance, and regression testing of firmware and software.
    • Perform hardware testing to validate system functionality under various conditions.
    • Identify, document, and track bugs, issues, or inconsistencies using issue-tracking tools.
    • Prepare detailed test reports, highlighting findings and recommendations for software improvements.
    • Work closely with software and hardware engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Co-op program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
    • Basic knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
    • Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++.
    • Experience with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or debuggers.
    • Understanding of the software development and testing lifecycle.
