This co-op position offers hands-on experience in evaluating and validating embedded software for gas detection systems. You will work within the engineering team in Delta, BC, to ensure the quality and reliability of safety-critical systems.
What you'll do#
- Conduct functional, performance, and regression testing of firmware and software.
- Perform hardware testing to validate system functionality under various conditions.
- Identify, document, and track bugs, issues, or inconsistencies using issue-tracking tools.
- Prepare detailed test reports, highlighting findings and recommendations for software improvements.
- Work closely with software and hardware engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Co-op program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++.
- Experience with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or debuggers.
- Understanding of the software development and testing lifecycle.
