About the role#
We are looking for a 4th-year Au.D. extern to join our practice for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a full-time, paid position based in Roswell, New Mexico. You will work directly with our audiologist and support staff to gain hands-on clinical experience with both adult and pediatric populations.
What you'll do#
- Conduct comprehensive audiologic evaluations for patients of all ages.
- Perform hearing aid fittings, real-ear verification, adjustments, and follow-up care.
- Educate patients and their families on hearing loss, device use, and communication strategies.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant patient records.
- Collaborate with providers, support staff, and community partners.
- Participate in community outreach and educational events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) program.
- Eligibility for a 4th-year externship placement for the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel between clinic locations if required.

- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, aligned with your university requirements.
- Compensation: $30,000 stipend.
