About the role#
Cornerstone Christian Counseling offers clinical practicum and internship opportunities for current Master’s level students. You will provide counseling to individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and children. We operate from a Christian worldview and emphasize clinical excellence. This is an unpaid position that requires a commitment to our Statement of Faith.
What you'll do#
- Counsel a diverse range of clients in-person or via tele-therapy.
- Attend weekly group supervision every Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM MDT (first Wednesday of each month is in-person at your office location; others are online).
- Participate in mandatory weekly triadic supervision meetings.
- Maintain 7 hours of weekly schedule availability for practicum students or 12 hours for internship students.
- Ensure at least one weeknight or Saturday block is included in your weekly availability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s level mental health counseling or marriage and family therapy program at a CACREP-accredited institution.
- Registration in a practicum or internship course with your school.
- Completion of a practicum prior to beginning an internship.
- A personal laptop with at least an i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and 256GB SSD.
- A stable, high-speed internet connection (minimum 15-20 Mbps download, 5 Mbps upload, and latency under 100ms).
- A quiet, private, professional workspace equipped with a high-resolution webcam.
Location & details#
Opportunities are available in Castle Rock, Centennial, Colorado Springs, Lakewood, Westminster, and Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The program runs for the Winter 2027, Summer 2027, and Fall 2027 terms. Work is conducted both on-site and remotely depending on client needs and office availability.
