About the role#
Constellation is looking for a Business Manager Intern to join the team at our Geysers location in Middletown, California. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in operational finance and insight into the business processes that support power generation. You will work with the Business Management team on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and project cost management.
What you'll do#
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting tasks.
- Analyze actual results against budgets and help research variances.
- Support the analysis of project costs, purchase orders, and expenditures.
- Help with accruals, reconciliations, and other accounting activities.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Gain exposure to purchasing, procure-to-pay, inventory, and materials-management processes.
- Support process improvements and special projects.
- Complete an assigned business or financial analysis project and present your findings and recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Senior standing is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
