About the role#
The BI Developer Intern will join the Data and Analytics team to gain practical experience by applying classroom theory to real-world projects. You will work alongside data experts to build solutions and develop your professional skills. This role includes weekly check-ins with your manager to discuss performance and objectives.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions including reports, dashboards, and metrics.
- Ensure data quality, security, and integrity through testing, validation, and documentation.
- Analyze and optimize complex data systems by documenting data flows, relationships, and dependencies.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify system improvements.
- Stay current with BI trends and explore emerging tools.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with Power BI, MS Fabric, or MicroStrategy.
- Proficiency with relational databases and SQL.
- Proficiency with at least one scripting language like Python.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based on-site in Dallas, Texas.
