About the role#
This co-op program offers hands-on training in fine woodworking and cabinet making. You will learn the fundamentals of the trade while working in a manufacturing environment. We provide all necessary on-the-job training. This role is paid at $16.50 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Cross-train on standard woodworking equipment like framing, chopping, and assembly tools.
- Help team leaders prepare machinery and perform basic adjustments.
- Read product specification sheets to inspect parts and ensure cabinet doors meet quality standards.
- Keep your workspace clean and organized.
- Follow safety rules, reporting any issues or damaged materials to your supervisor immediately.
What you'll need#
- No prior manufacturing experience is required.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately and follow manufacturing schedules.
- Basic computer skills for scanning items and processing paperwork.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly during your shift.
- You must be reliable, eager to learn, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to dust, noise, fumes, odors, heat, cold, and dryness.
- Willingness to undergo and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
