Student Radiology Technologist | Per Diem

About the role#

As a Student Radiology Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic radiological procedures under the direct supervision of an ARRT-registered technologist. This role requires you to work within the scope of practice and departmental standards while supporting patient care and imaging operations. Please note that student technologists are not permitted to work shifts alone or operate independently in trauma or operating room settings.

What you'll do#

• Perform radiological diagnostic or therapeutic procedures in accordance with departmental standards.
• Assess patient information, prepare patients for procedures, and explain expectations.
• Document patient care and procedure details accurately.
• Utilize hospital and departmental information technology systems and equipment.
• Maintain productivity and adaptability to meet patient care and department needs.
• Adhere to department policies, safety protocols, and professional requirements.
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) with a status of good standing.
• Must be in the senior year of your program.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent fine motor tasks.
