About the role#
This is a temporary, full-time summer student position providing administrative services across several departments at the Goderich salt mine. You will support operational objectives by managing data, maintaining records, and coordinating with various teams. This role requires the ability to exercise independent judgment to plan and prioritize tasks in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Update and maintain database and file management systems to ensure data integrity and efficient workflow.
- Prepare documents for distribution and assist with general administrative tasks.
- Draft internal communications, including announcements, letters, memos, and reports as directed by management.
- Participate in special projects and collaborate with employees across different departments.
- Perform other related clerical and administrative duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary institution with the intention of returning to school in Fall 2026 (proof of enrollment required).
- Preference for students pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience performing clerical support duties.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Location & details#
- Location: Goderich, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- Compensation: $27.13 – $32.71 per hour, based on current level of education.
