About the role#
This summer internship offers hands-on experience in healthcare support services at the Marshfield Medical Center. You will work alongside the Environmental Services leadership team to develop professional skills and gain a practical understanding of hospital operations. This role is designed to provide a foundation for a career in business operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist with maintaining the overall cleanliness of the hospital.
- Manage, schedule, and train frontline team members.
- Support vendor relations and patient experience initiatives.
- Execute operational standards and ensure the safe and efficient use of resources.
- Participate in department safety programs to maintain a secure work environment.
- Respond to requests and concerns with urgency and take corrective action.
- Identify and correct facility quality assurance issues.
- Provide guidance and motivation to associates while ensuring they receive proper training.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a college or university junior or senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Operations Management.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, from hourly employees to directors.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- An interest in a career with Crothall Healthcare and the Accelerated Manager Program is preferred.
