About the role#
Commercial Contracting Corporation is hiring a Construction Management Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. You will work on-site and support our operations construction services team.
What you'll do#
- Support project managers with start-up activities and general administrative tasks.
- Process submittals, shop drawings, samples, mock-ups, and RFIs based on project specifications.
- Help with project buy-out, post-bid interviews, and the distribution of contracts and purchase orders.
- Assist with project kick-off meetings, including worker site orientations and file updates.
- Review document revisions and clarifications to maintain accurate project controls.
- Help the pre-construction team during the bid process or assist with post-bid scope changes by gathering pricing from subcontractors.
- Assemble monthly pay applications for processing.
- Attend project meetings with trade partners and customers to coordinate execution.
- Participate in safety observation tours and complete daily documentation.
- Track labor productivity and prepare documents for weekly submissions.
- Work with self-perform groups and trade partners to resolve issues and ensure quality control.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
