About the role#
The Sustainable Systems Engineering program at Colorado State University is hiring hourly workers to support a two-day collaborative workshop. This event focuses on energy transition challenges, sustainable infrastructure, and data center growth in Colorado. You will assist with event logistics, participant coordination, and documentation throughout the summer of 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist with workshop planning, scheduling, logistics, and the preparation of participant materials.
- Support communications with participants, speakers, facilitators, judges, and partner organizations.
- Organize background materials related to energy transition, grid reliability, distributed energy resources, and community resilience.
- Provide on-site event support, including registration, room setup, material distribution, timekeeping, note-taking, and general participant assistance.
- Collect team submissions, organize judging materials, document outcomes, and prepare post-event summaries.
- Support event promotion and follow-up communications.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student status in Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Availability to support the two-day workshop in person.
- Preferred: Interest in sustainability, energy systems, infrastructure, or policy, and experience supporting events, research projects, or preparing professional documentation.
