About the role#
Lamar Johnson Collaborative is hiring interns for our Summer 2027 program. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role. You will work with our teams to support design projects and gain hands-on experience in architecture and urban planning.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the project design process, including conceptual studies and systems layout.
- Help prepare programming, schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
- Create marketing and presentation materials.
- Participate in learning opportunities designed to build your professional skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate architecture or urban planning program at an accredited university.
- Proficiency with MS Office and computer-based drafting tools.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage your own workload and meet multiple deadlines.
- A resume or portfolio showing your design and technical capabilities.
- Knowledge of design principles and standards.
- Experience with Revit, Enscape, or Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.

- Locations: Saint Louis, MO; Chicago, IL; Kansas City, MO; Los Angeles, CA; Phoenix, AZ.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Pay: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on your expected graduation date.
