About the role#
As an Engineering Intern, you will support the design, fabrication, and installation of architectural and structural building systems. You will work within an integrated project team, gaining exposure to engineering, project management, and cross-functional operations. This role offers hands-on experience across design, manufacturing, and field work.
What you'll do#
- Assist with design-phase tasks such as submittal drawings, design approvals, reinforcement drawings, and miscellaneous metal drawings.
- Support manufacturing and production through shop drawings, material coordination, casting schedules, and quality checks.
- Help with field and erection-phase activities, including crane studies, rigging diagrams, shipping coordination, and field manpower planning.
- Contribute to general project management by identifying issues, submitting procedures, and monitoring contract specifications, budgets, and schedules.
- Maintain professionalism and handle proprietary information with confidentiality.
- Support core project objectives regarding quality, schedule, and budget.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering in progress or completed.
- A strong interest in engineering and construction management.
- A desire to learn, collaborate, and contribute in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
