About the role#
As an Engineering Co-op at Clampco Products, you will work within the Engineering Department to apply your academic background to real-world projects. You will gain experience by supporting new product development, manufacturing process improvements, and data analysis. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position based in Wadsworth, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Assist with new product development, including materials, product configuration, drawings, and routings.
- Support manufacturing process improvements related to metal forming, assembly, and welding.
- Conduct tests and experiments, record data, and assist in analyzing the results.
- Prepare and maintain technical reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to support engineering projects and solve problems.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS program for Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proficiency with general office equipment and computer applications, including Microsoft 360 and Teams.
- Ability to learn technical skills related to sensors, robot controls, and PLCs.
- Familiarity with testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
