About the role#
CIVCO Medical Solutions offers Engineering Co-op opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Design. You will assist with engineering tasks within your assigned department and coordinate across teams to ensure smooth production startup. These are full-time, paid positions located on-site at our facility in Coralville, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Design and manage product development projects, including line extensions and 3D CAD modeling.
- Support sustainment activities by investigating production or process issues.
- Assist in manufacturing with new product development and process improvement initiatives.
- Perform engineering documentation and maintain design control records.
- Support quality and manufacturing verification and validation activities.
- Create and document processes and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of design, documentation, materials management, and design for manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience with manufacturing processes is preferred.
