2026 Summer College Internship (AIM)

About the role#

The City of Atlanta Department of Atlanta Information Management (AIM) is seeking interns for a 10-week summer program. This internship provides students with the opportunity to gain professional experience within municipal government, working under direct supervision to support various administrative and project-based tasks. There are 10 positions available for the 2026 summer term.

What you'll do#

• Perform diverse administrative and project duties tailored to your specific department assignment.
• Engage in on-the-job training regarding operational policies and work procedures.
• Collect and research data, compile information, and prepare reports and documentation.
• Prepare presentations for staff members and attend project team meetings.
• Assist with clerical tasks as needed to support team objectives.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Business Administration.
• Foundational knowledge in professional functions such as Information Technology, Data Analytics, Project Management, Accounting, or Human Resources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new processes, collect information independently, and produce finished work products.
