About the role#
As a Market Development Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in sales, market research, and business development. You will support the goals of the Market Development department by focusing on data analysis, lead generation, and identifying growth opportunities across utility services. This role involves working on projects that support our business and communities.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to lead generation efforts across all utility services.
- Assist in implementing sales initiatives to increase margins and income.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and materials to communicate research findings.
- Research natural gas on-main lead generation opportunities to support customer growth.
- Identify and evaluate district energy sales opportunities for thermal utilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate projects and support department initiatives.
- Support Sales Consultants with customer outreach, sales calls, and follow-up activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, research, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in identifying business opportunities and evaluating market trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a team setting.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented approach to managing multiple assignments.
