About the role#
The Fellowship Program Intern supports the recruitment and marketing objectives for the Frederick Douglass-Daniel O’Connell Global Programs and the Scan Design Environmental Sustainability Internship. You will report to the Fellowships Manager and work 15 hours per week to help recruit students into these programs.
What you'll do#
- Support call campaigns to applicants.
- Create content for social media channels.
- Manage fellowship email accounts.
- Conduct outreach to student fraternities and sororities.
- Assist the Fellowships team with application reviews.
- Contact Scholars Grant recipients.
- Provide pre-departure advising to Fellows and Scholars.
- Offer input on marketing strategies and materials.
- Assist with alumni programming.
- Support Scholars Institutional Matching outreach.
What you'll need#
- Participation in a Frederick Douglass-Daniel O’Connell Global Internship Program or Scan Design Environmental Sustainability Program in Summer 2026.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent judgement and intercultural competence.
- High energy and excitement about intercultural exchange.
- A commitment to increasing access for students historically underrepresented in study abroad experiences.
Location & details#
This is a remote, paid internship. The term is rolling, and the position requires 15 hours of work per week. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of background, reference, education, and employment checks.
