About the role#
CID Design Group offers interior design internships based in our Naples, Florida studio. This program provides exposure to various aspects of interior design, including renovation and new development projects. You will work alongside Team Leaders, Project Managers, and designers to support ongoing design initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Select artwork, paint plans, and color schemes.
- Calculate square footage take-offs using BlueBeam, Revit, or AutoCAD.
- Assist the FFE team during project installations.
- Communicate with vendors to verify product availability and pricing.
- Manage the ordering of product samples.
- Review interior construction documents with project leadership.
- Help select lighting fixtures, furniture, and fabrics.
- Research area demographics and psychographics to inform design plans.
- Coordinate and research specific design features.
- Participate in internal project kick-off meetings.
- Prepare materials for creative design presentations.
- Support project managers with space planning tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited interior design program, having completed your junior year.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A curious and open-minded approach to learning.
- A portfolio including drawing sets, rendered views, materials, software used, and context regarding your specific role and project scope.
