About the role#
Children's Therapy Network offers clinical placement, shadowing, and fieldwork opportunities for students in Occupational Therapy (OT/COTA), Physical Therapy (PT/PTA), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP/SLPA) programs. This role provides hands-on exposure to pediatric care in a therapist-led, outpatient clinic environment. Students work alongside experienced professionals to complete required hours and gain practical experience in a multidisciplinary setting.
What you'll do#
- Observe and assist with clinical therapy sessions.
- Participate in clinical fieldwork, rotations, or practicums.
- Support OTs, PTs, and SLPs in a pediatric clinical environment.
- Learn evaluation and treatment protocols for pediatric populations.
- OT track: Assist with sensory integration, fine motor skills, feeding therapy, and self-regulation.
- PT track: Address gross motor delays, torticollis, toe walking, gait, strength, and balance.
- SLP track: Assist with articulation, language development, social communication, and AAC devices.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in, or preparation for, an accredited OT/COTA, PT/PTA, or SLP/SLPA program.
- A genuine interest in working with children and their families.
- An upbeat personality and team spirit.
- Eagerness to learn and professional communication skills.
- Dependability, including being organized, punctual, and respectful of clinic policies and client confidentiality.
