About the role#
Chevrolet of Merrillville is hiring Intern Technicians to join our automotive service team. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date. You will perform preventative maintenance and identify service needs to keep vehicles safe.
What you'll do#
- Drain and refill engine oil, replace filters, and top off all critical automotive fluids.
- Perform tire rotations, precision mounting, balancing, and pressure checks.
- Inspect brake pads, lines, hoses, belts, and underbody components.
- Record all work on repair orders.
- Report additional repair needs to Service Advisors.
- Keep work bays clean and organized.
- Comply with dealership and OSHA safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Ability to perform fluid services.
- Ability to conduct tire maintenance.
- Ability to conduct multi-point inspections.
- Commitment to maintaining shop safety.

- This role is located in Merrillville, Indiana.
- This is an on-site position.
