About the role#
Chatham Financial offers a 10-week summer internship program designed to provide hands-on experience in financial risk management and advisory services. You will work within client services, engagement, or operations teams to build skills in finance, analytics, and consulting. This role involves direct collaboration with subject matter experts on complex projects.
What you'll do#
- Support work in interest rate and foreign currency risk, debt and derivative valuation, financial reporting, structured finance, and hedge accounting.
- Assist with data analysis, market research, client deliverables, trade reporting, and presentation development.
- Build business intelligence dashboards and improve operational workflows.
- Participate in collateral management and trade lifecycle tasks.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a capstone project.
- Attend weekly company-wide and team meetings, along with intern social and networking events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, entering your junior or senior year during Summer 2027.
- Pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- A service-oriented attitude and leadership potential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Comfort working with large datasets.
- Experience with financial modeling, statistical analysis, Python, or SQL is preferred.

- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 1, 2027, to August 6, 2027).
- Modality: On-site, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.
- Employment: Full-time and paid.
