About the role#
Centurum is hiring a part-time Electrical Engineering student intern to support the CBSP engineering team. This role is for a senior-level undergraduate student who expects to graduate with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering within one year. You will work alongside experienced engineers on technical projects, gaining hands-on experience in analysis, testing, and documentation.
What you'll do#
- Assist with engineering analysis, design, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Support the development and maintenance of engineering documentation.
- Help with laboratory testing and the collection of engineering data.
- Review technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and data analysis.
- Participate in team meetings and provide status updates on your work.
- Support assigned technical tasks and other engineering duties.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a senior undergraduate student in an accredited B.S. Electrical Engineering program.
- A strong academic background in electrical engineering fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of electrical and electronic circuits, systems, and engineering principles.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- A Secret US DoD security clearance (must be maintained throughout employment).
- Preferred experience includes CAD tools, circuit analysis, embedded systems, RF electronics, or communications systems.
- Prior experience with laboratory work, engineering design, or technical reporting is a plus.
