About the role#
Centura Wealth Advisory is hiring a Wealth Management Intern to support our consulting team. This role offers undergraduate students experience in investment management, financial planning, and client service. You will work directly with our team to help deliver wealth advisory services to our clients.
What you'll do#
- Research ETFs, stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and other securities.
- Maintain portfolio analytical material, investment documentation, and client data.
- Collect and present research on alternative investments.
- Prepare custodian paperwork, client applications, and transfer forms while tracking their progress.
- Develop presentations for clients and prospects.
- Create financial exhibits such as balance sheets, cash flow projections, retirement projections, estate summaries, and insurance summaries.
- Support client communications, including information requests and problem resolution.
- Learn to use financial software platforms like Salesforce, Morningstar, Orion, and Wealth Access.
- Attend assigned webinars and perform other duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- You are a current sophomore in an accredited undergraduate program majoring in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or Mathematics.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, follow directions, and adapt to new challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and standard office equipment.
- Basic knowledge of financial concepts like stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and insurance.
- Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: On-site in San Diego, California.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: 15-20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer.
- Compensation: This is a paid position at $17.25 per hour.
