About the role#
The Process and Manufacturing Engineer Intern will solve technical issues related to processes, products, and components. You will work on electronic assemblies, handling tasks from the introduction of new products to the management of existing processes. This role requires a commitment to continuous improvement and the implementation of manufacturing techniques.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate projects and interface with customers.
- Design experiments, tools, and fixtures.
- Support the development and updating of assembly work instructions.
- Improve the quality and efficiency of manufacturing processes through optimization.
- Provide engineering support for Shop Floor Control.
- Offer technical support for tool manufacturing on new and existing products.
- Work overtime and on weekends when required.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a University internship program, having completed your 3rd year of studies.
- Enrolled in a Mechanical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics Engineering program.
- Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of web-based coding, CAD software like SolidWorks, and 3D printing.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and deliver on commitments.
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Successful completion of a security assessment per Controlled Goods Regulations.
