About the role#
This is a 16-month internship focused on Aerospace and Defense, specifically within Material Pricing and Product Data. You will work within the supply chain management area to support global teams, manage product data, and assist with pricing for new business opportunities. This role is a hybrid position based in Toronto.
What you'll do#
- Receive, review, and manage product data packages from external customers.
- Set up bills of material, component, and assembly data within internal databases.
- Interface with manufacturing and supply chain teams to prioritize engineering changes and data setup.
- Communicate with customers to resolve missing or inaccurate data.
- Prepare material pricing for new business opportunities, including cost analysis and bill of material generation.
- Negotiate with suppliers and collaborate with Commodity Management.
- Participate in kick-off meetings and interact with global customer units.
- Lead projects to meet internal and customer goals.
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a General Engineering, General Business, or Math and Statistics program.
- Must be completing the 3rd year of a 4-year program or the 4th year of a 5-year program.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with macros is an asset.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, procurement, and the electronics industry is recommended.
- Eligibility for the internship program and successful completion of a security assessment for the Canadian Government's Controlled Goods Program.
