About the role#
The Retail Management Intern program provides students with hands-on experience in retail operations. You will gain practical skills and industry insights while working in a store environment. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Support the Cavender’s culture and align your work with the company mission, vision, and values.
- Learn sales techniques, build product knowledge, and assist customers on the floor.
- Manage inventory through stocking and visual merchandising.
- Analyze sales data to understand store performance.
- Process transactions and handle customer returns at the point-of-sale.
- Help with store opening and closing procedures, as well as local promotional events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Business Administration, Marketing, retail management, or a related field.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret documents and comprehend complex information.
- A high degree of confidentiality and integrity.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
