About the role#
Carter Support Services is looking for an HR Intern to join our team in Houston. You will assist with day-to-day HR operations and support the execution of training and development initiatives. This role provides direct exposure to HR consulting, talent development, and organizational strategy while working alongside our leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Manage HR documentation, employee files, and compliance tracking.
- Prepare onboarding packets, training materials, and internal communication updates.
- Support data entry, HR metrics tracking, and employee engagement surveys.
- Assist with the rollout of leadership and staff training programs, including scheduling and logistics.
- Manage Learning Management System (LMS) tasks such as uploading content and tracking completion.
- Proofread and format PowerPoints, training guides, and SOPs.
- Maintain training dashboards and track key performance indicators.
- Coordinate project timelines, documents, and cross-department communication.
- Draft internal communication templates and announcements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in HR, Business, Psychology, Organizational Development, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and writing ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
- Interest in training, development, or HR consulting.
- Experience building PowerPoints, SOPs, or training content is preferred.
- Basic data analysis or HR reporting experience is a plus.
- Experience with LMS systems is considered an asset.
