About the role#

Capilano University is seeking a Student Recruitment Ambassador for the Squamish location. This part-time, casual role focuses on representing the university to prospective students, families, and high school counsellors. The position runs from July 6, 2026, through December 31, 2026.

What you'll do#

• Represent the university's programs and courses at recruitment events both on and off campus.
• Deliver presentations to prospective students and their families.
• Staff university information fairs and respond to inquiries.
• Provide updates to high school counsellors regarding university news and program changes.
• Support general recruitment duties, including leading campus tours.
• Collaborate on social media content and engage with future students through digital platforms.

What you'll need#

• Must be a current CapU student with at least one year of attendance at the university.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with comfort speaking to small and large groups.
• Professional, punctual, and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting boxes and recruitment materials.
• Familiarity with CapU programs, admission procedures, and university culture.
• Experience in marketing, public relations, or relationship building with the public.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Flexible schedule with availability for occasional evening work.
• Access to reliable transportation is required; a valid driver's license and vehicle are considered assets.
