About the role#

Capilano University is seeking a Student Recruitment Ambassador for the Squamish location. This is a part-time, casual, paid position for the Summer and Fall 2026 terms, running from July 6, 2026, to December 31, 2026.

What you'll do#

• Represent the university’s full range of programs and courses at recruitment events both on and off campus.
• Deliver presentations to prospective students and their families.
• Staff university information fairs and respond to inquiries from prospective students.
• Provide updates to high school counsellors regarding university news and program changes.
• Support on-campus recruitment activities, including conducting campus tours.
• Collaborate on social media content development to engage future students.

What you'll need#

• Must be a current Capilano University student with at least one year of attendance.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with comfort addressing both small and large groups.
• Excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with marketing and public relations practices.
• Understanding of Capilano University programs, admission procedures, and campus culture.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and materials.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Preference for students pursuing majors in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, Psychology, or Sociology.

• Location: Squamish, British Columbia.
• Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week, with occasional evening availability required.
