Active Health Marketing Student Assistant

About the role#

The Active Health Marketing Student Assistant supports the Department of Athletics and Recreation at Capilano University. This role focuses on the evaluation, development, and promotion of recreation and intramural programs. You will work closely with the Active Health Programmer and the Active Health Programs Marketing Student Assistant to improve campus wellness initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Assist with the promotion of recreation programs and events.
• Facilitate focus groups, feedback forums, and program evaluations.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and refine program plans.
• Provide input for improvements and changes to existing recreation offerings.
• Meet regularly with the Active Health Programmer to coordinate tasks and objectives.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment at Capilano University with at least 9 credits per semester and in good academic standing.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Computer proficiency and the ability to contribute to program planning.
• A demonstrated passion for physical activity and healthy living.
• Experience in a 2nd year Human Kinetics, Outdoor Recreation, or equivalent program is an asset.
• Team-oriented mindset with confidence in leading groups of students.
• Relevant certifications such as CFC, CSEP, AFLCA, SFA, or CPR are considered assets.
