About the role#
Canduct Industries Limited is looking for a Human Resources Intern to assist with daily administrative tasks and department projects. You will gain exposure to core HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, and training. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Boardman, Ohio. We offer a flexible schedule of 15 to 20 hours per week to accommodate your classes.
What you'll do#
- Manage day-to-day HR administration and maintain personnel files.
- Input and update employee data within the ADP Workforce Now system.
- Audit employee information to ensure records are accurate and complete.
- Assist with the full recruiting cycle, from posting advertisements to coordinating candidate interviews.
- Support new-hire onboarding and organize pre-employment paperwork.
- Track required training, certifications, and employee development resources.
- Help build standardized training programs and maintain department reports.
- Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment processes.
- Organize employee engagement activities and internal communications.
- Research HR topics to help develop new policies and procedures.
- Support special projects such as process documentation, data cleanup, and HR metrics reporting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university, preferably as a junior or senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Professionalism when handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook.
- A willingness to learn new systems and internal processes.
- Previous experience in an office, customer service, or HR setting is a plus.
- Prior experience with an HRIS or campus leadership roles is helpful.
