Higher Education Student Accounts Consultants/Interim Bursar

About the role#

CampusWorks is seeking Bursar/Student Accounts Consultants to support higher education clients in strengthening their financial operations and enhancing the student experience. These roles involve serving as an interim Bursar, leading business process reviews, or optimizing ERP systems to help institutions maintain smooth operations during transitions or periods requiring additional expertise. Engagements may be full-time or contract-based.

What you'll do#

• Serve as Interim Bursar, providing day-to-day leadership for department staff.
• Provide oversight, direction, and coordination for current bursar and student accounts projects.
• Assess the efficiency of the bursar and student accounts department.
• Design and deliver training programs.
• Assist clients in aligning policies, processes, procedures, and personnel to effectively leverage student accounts solutions.

What you'll need#

• 5+ years of experience as a college or university Bursar or a related role in higher education.
• Proficiency with higher education ERP software, such as Ellucian Colleague, Banner, Jenzabar, or Workday, including hands-on experience with bursar functionality.
• Experience assessing operations and making recommendations for process improvements, including policy, staffing, and organizational alignment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to facilitate diverse groups and build consensus.
• Superior communication skills and a consultative approach to client engagement.
