About the role#
We are seeking a full-time Student Accounts Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on managing student billing, ledger card charges, payment plans, and collection processes to support our student success model.
What you'll do#
- Process ledger card charges, student billing, and account prorations.
- Package payment plans and establish automatic payment reminders.
- Post student payments and respond to inquiries regarding payment plans.
- Review and post charges following the add/drop period.
- Monitor delinquent accounts and notify Student Success Coaches when payments are two months overdue or if final term payments are outstanding.
- Collaborate with the Financial Aid department to ensure accurate packaging for underfunded students and prepare payment plans for continuing students.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Finance, Accounting, or Education.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in a student accounts functional area within a college or university.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in financial aid.
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Google applications.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse audiences.
- Commitment to professional conduct and the privacy of student information.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Atlanta, Georgia.
- The schedule requires working from the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with remote work on Monday and Friday.
