About the role#
The Student Accounts Specialist is a full-time position responsible for managing student billing, ledger card charges, and collection processes. This role serves as a bridge between financial operations and student support, ensuring that account information is accurate and that students are properly informed regarding their payment obligations.
What you'll do#
- Process ledger card charges, student billing, and account prorations.
- Package payment plans and establish automatic payment reminders.
- Post student payments and manage inquiries regarding payment plans.
- Coordinate with Financial Aid to ensure accurate packaging for underfunded or unfunded students.
- Collaborate with the team to identify continuing students requiring new payment plans before the start of the academic year.
- Monitor delinquent accounts and notify Student Success Coaches when payments are overdue or when final term payments remain outstanding.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in a student accounts functional area within a college or university.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in financial aid.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications.

- Work Modality: Hybrid (Onsite Tuesday through Thursday, remote Monday and Friday).
