About the role#
Calvary Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacy department in the Bronx. This is a per diem, on-site role working the day shift.
What you'll do#
Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will receive, compound, and dispense medications according to standard procedures and orders from qualified practitioners. You will interact with pharmacy staff and other hospital disciplines to ensure effective care. This role requires mathematical aptitude, the ability to read various forms of handwriting, and the skill to identify different medications. You must also possess the finger dexterity required to handle unit dose and unit of use products.
What you'll need#
- A Pharmacy Intern Permit issued by the State of New York.
- Completion of at least the third year of a six-year Pharmacy program.
- A High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
