About the role#
Calvary Hospital is hiring a Pharmacy Intern to work on-site in the Bronx. This is a per diem position. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support our pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Receive, compound, and dispense drugs following standard procedures based on orders from qualified practitioners.
- Communicate with members of the pharmacy department and staff from other disciplines.
- Handle unit dose and unit of use products, which requires finger dexterity.
- Read various types of handwriting and identify different medications.
What you'll need#
- A Pharmacy Intern Permit issued by the State of New York.
- Completion of at least the third year in a six-year Pharmacy program.
- A High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
- Mathematical aptitude and the ability to maintain neat work.
