About the role#
This internship supports the Reentry Entrepreneurship Accelerator (REA). You will help the project communicate clearly and consistently with the public. The REA is a grant-funded pilot program creating an entrepreneurship credential pathway for justice-impacted adults. This is a part-time position.
What you'll do#
- Maintain the project website using no-code or AI-assisted tools.
- Apply accessibility standards to web content, including image descriptions and clear headings.
- Manage social media accounts by posting project updates and partner highlights.
- Write short, plain-language content for a general audience.
- Create simple graphics and slide content for meetings and presentations.
- Tag partners and relevant organizations to expand the project's online reach.
- Assist in preparing accessible materials for Advisory Board meetings and funder updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at CSUDH.
- Active use of at least one social media platform, such as Instagram or LinkedIn.
- Clear writing skills and the ability to explain topics without jargon.
- Basic comfort with digital tools and a willingness to learn new software.
- A focus on accessibility and plain-language standards.
- Respect for the dignity and privacy of justice-impacted individuals.
- No prior professional experience is required. Lived experience with the reentry process is valued.

- Location: Carson, California.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
- Hours: Up to 20 hours per week.
