About the role#
This is a 16-month internship split between Cadillac Fairview and HH Angus and Associates. You will spend 12 months at the Toronto Dominion Centre in Toronto and 4 months at the HH Angus office in North York. The position is full-time and paid with a minimum starting hourly rate of $24.00.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the management of the Toronto Dominion Centre in downtown Toronto.
- Monitor and reduce energy consumption to improve building efficiency.
- Analyze data related to vendor performance.
- Assist with management oversight and capital budget planning.
- Coordinate construction projects.
- Gain exposure to mechanical, electrical, and building automation systems.
- Apply hands-on knowledge to the design and engineering of building systems at HH Angus.
- Support engineering design, tender, and construction administration for commercial sector projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary engineering program.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with databases and statistics.
- Proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office, specifically spreadsheets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Prior experience with building systems, analytics, or corporate work environments is an asset.
Location & details#
- Toronto, Ontario: On-site at the Toronto Dominion Centre for 12 months.
- North York, Ontario: Hybrid work for 4 months at the HH Angus office.
