About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Kansas City, Missouri. You will work on-site and may travel up to 5% of the time. The position is open on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to project tasks.
- Assist with the standard design of engineering systems.
- Correct and update existing designs.
- Support lead engineers with various project duties and assignments.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related natural science field.
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary education or technical certificate program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and an eager, self-motivated approach to learning.
- Active involvement in campus, community, or volunteer organizations.
- Prior internship or consulting experience is preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.

- Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Benefits: Participation in the 401(k) retirement program is available if eligibility requirements are met. Sick leave is accrued based on hours worked.
