About the role#
As a CAD Intern within our Power group, you will contribute to the planning, design, and startup of power generation and decarbonization technologies. This includes work on gas turbines, utility-scale battery storage, hydrogen electrolysis, carbon capture, solar, and nuclear plant services. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Denver.
What you'll do#
- Revise existing drawings and prepare drawings of basic components based on detailed sketches or verbal and written instructions.
- Plot drawings and ensure all work follows company and client drafting standards.
- Learn the core practices of your assigned discipline.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary education or technical certificate program related to Computer-Aided Drafting or Engineering Technology.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and active involvement in campus or community organizations.
- Prior internship or consulting experience is a plus.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Denver, Colorado.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Travel: Approximately 5% of the time.
- Compensation: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Benefits: Eligible interns may participate in the 401(k) retirement program and receive paid sick leave as required by the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act.
