About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will join the Power group, which handles the planning, design, and startup of power generation and decarbonization technologies. This includes work on gas turbines, battery storage, hydrogen electrolysis, and carbon capture projects.
What you'll do#
- Revise existing drawings.
- Prepare drawings of basic components using detailed sketches or verbal and written instructions.
- Plot drawings.
- Learn and apply specific company and client drafting standards.
- Develop an understanding of the practices within your assigned discipline.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary or technical certificate program for Computer-Aided Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and a self-motivated approach to learning.
- Active involvement in campus, community, or volunteer organizations.
- Prior internship or consulting experience is a plus.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for future visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Travel: Approximately 5 percent of the time.
