About the role#
As a Civil Engineering Intern in the Water group, you will support the planning and design of water supply, treatment, and distribution systems. You will work alongside lead engineers on projects for government and industrial clients. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Denver.
What you'll do#
- Apply standard engineering techniques to design systems.
- Update and correct existing designs.
- Assist lead engineers with daily project duties and ad hoc assignments.
- Collect and analyze data to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Research project issues, present findings, and recommend solutions.
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, documentation, and presentation preparation.
- Comply with all company policies and standards.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, preferably from an ABET-accredited program.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a self-motivated approach to learning.
- Active involvement in campus, community, or volunteer organizations.
- Prior internship or consulting experience is a plus.
