About the role#
As a Civil Engineering Intern in our Transportation group, you will gain hands-on experience by applying standard engineering techniques to real projects. You will support our work on bridges, highways, rail systems, and other infrastructure. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dallas.
What you'll do#
- Perform standard engineering tasks and assist with the design of systems.
- Update and correct existing designs.
- Support lead engineers with daily project duties and ad hoc assignments.
- Research project concerns, analyze data, and recommend solutions.
- Present your findings and solutions to project teams.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as documentation, data entry, filing, and creating PowerPoint presentations.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts by gathering and reviewing project data.
- Respond to general inquiries as needed.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, preferably from an ABET-accredited program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and self-motivation.
- Active involvement in campus, community, or volunteer activities.
- Prior internship or consulting experience is a plus.

- Travel: Approximately 5% of the time.
