About the role#
Bunzl Processor Division offers a 10-week summer internship for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a sales-related field. You will report to the Sales Manager of Field Sales Development and work alongside the management team to learn core sales and business functions. This is a full-time, paid position based in Riverside, Missouri.
What you'll do#
- Learn the Bunzl system of sales and customer engagement.
- Build a working knowledge of internal processes and the AS400 system.
- Shadow Field Sales Reps on customer calls.
- Make outbound sales calls once training is complete.
- Assist with sales reports and analyze monthly sales data.
- Gain exposure to departments including Customer Service, Purchasing, Data Analytics, Category Management, and the Warehouse.
- Work with an assigned Sales Mentor to support your professional development.
- Complete a final sales project to research and present to upper management.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in a sales-related field and a high school diploma.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Professional phone manner and the ability to interact well with staff.
- A self-motivated, resourceful, and punctual work ethic.
