About the role#
Building & Earth hires over 30 civil engineering students each year for this internship. You will work on-site at commercial construction projects across the Southeast. This is a paid, full-time, rolling internship that provides hands-on experience in geotechnical analysis and materials testing.
What you'll do#
- Document construction projects.
- Study rocks and soil mechanics.
- Perform tests on materials including concrete, soils, rebar, and mortar.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Geology, or a related field.
- You have completed your freshman year of college.
- You hold a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
- You are comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- You can follow directions with minimal supervision.
- You have good communication skills and a customer service attitude.
- You are able to drive a company vehicle.
- ACI Field Level I Certification is preferred but not required.
