About the role#
BMF is hiring for a Tax Internship during the Winter 2028 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in Akron, Ohio. You will work on-site from Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM, with a requirement of at least 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
In this role, you will perform tasks similar to an entry-level Staff Accountant. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Preparing corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
- Conducting tax research as needed.
- Using accounting and tax software to complete assignments.
- Reviewing workpapers before submitting them to your supervisor.
- Assisting with special projects.
- Following the Firm's Mission and Core Values.
What you'll need#
We are looking for Accounting majors who will be in their Junior, Senior, or Fifth Year during the Spring 2028 semester. You should be detail-oriented and able to work independently. Additional requirements include:
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- A sense of urgency, enthusiasm, and a focus on results.
- High personal integrity and strong problem-solving skills.
Please note on your resume when you expect to complete your 150-hour requirement or become CPA eligible.
