This is a paid, full-time position that offers a monthly stipend.
What you'll do#
Your work will depend on your background, but you will focus on one of these areas:
- Science and Biology: Assist with research and composition projects, gaining exposure to biochemistry and synthetic biology.
- Chemical Engineering: Help the engineering team with process development, optimization, and scale-up of bio-based chemical production. You will work with process modeling, experimental design, and data analysis.
- Business and Strategy: Work with leadership on business strategy, financial modeling, industry research, and competitor analysis.
- General Project Work: Develop bio-based chemical markets, work on downstream separation processes, or build computational biology tools.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Biology, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or Finance.
- A strong academic record.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A proactive, curious mindset and a desire to learn and take on new challenges.
- A genuine interest in our mission to produce chemicals from renewable resources.

- This role is based on-site in Omaha, Nebraska.
- The program operates on a rolling basis.
