Operations Intern III

About the role#

Blackhawk Mining is seeking an Operations Intern III to work on-site in South Charleston, West Virginia. This is a full-time, paid internship role with a rolling term.

What you'll do#

• Shadow operations and processes at the mine to gain practical industry experience.
• Assist experienced engineers in the development of daily mine plans.
• Develop mine designs that account for health, safety, environmental, volume, and cost requirements.
• Conduct independent engineering research and studies, including the preparation of technical reports.
• Support ongoing engineering evaluations and projects.
• Collaborate with your supervisor to define goals and incorporate performance feedback into your work.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to work on-site in South Charleston, West Virginia.
• Strong communication skills to clarify expectations and integrate feedback.
