Blackhawk Mining is seeking an Operations Intern II to support engineering teams at our South Charleston, West Virginia location. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Independently conduct engineering research and studies, and write technical reports.
- Assist in engineering evaluations and projects.
- Collaborate with supervisors to clarify expectations and goals, seek regular feedback, and incorporate that feedback into your work product.
- Assist experienced engineers in developing daily mine plans.
- Shadow operations and processes at the mine site.
- Assist in developing mine designs using prudent engineering practices that account for health, safety, environmental, volume, and cost requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to work on-site in South Charleston, West Virginia.
