About the role#
Black Cape offers a Skillbridge internship program designed to transition military personnel into civilian software development roles. This program supports the full lifecycle of technology projects, from initial development to customer deployment. You will work on mission applications for government and commercial sectors, focusing on machine learning and artificial intelligence.
What you'll do#
- Develop mission applications and build innovative solutions for customers.
- Apply machine learning and artificial intelligence to complex technical problems.
- Create cloud-native web applications.
- Interact directly with end users to deploy unique capabilities.
What you'll need#
- A completed Bachelor of Science degree, or be close to completion, or have completed a coding bootcamp. An Associate degree may also be considered.
- Preferred degrees include Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Information Systems.
- Three to six months of technical experience, such as military work in software development, data science, DevOps, or cloud computing.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented language, such as Java, Python, C#, or C++.
- Experience with at least one MVC framework, such as Spring, Django, Flask, or Rails.
- Willingness to obtain a TS/SCI CI Polygraph clearance. Secret clearances and above are considered.
Location & details#
- The role is based in Arlington, Virginia.
- This is an on-site position requiring presence in the office 3 to 4 days per week, subject to team needs.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
