About the role#
BL Harbert International LLC is hiring interns and co-ops for construction roles in Homewood, Alabama. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position with rolling start dates. We are looking for students pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Architecture, or Environmental Engineering.
What you'll do#
You will support our project teams across three core areas:
- Project Management: Help coordinate contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specifications to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Field Supervision: Assist superintendents with day-to-day site activities. This includes enforcing safety policies, scheduling work, managing permits and inspections, and maintaining quality control files.
- Estimating: Help prepare construction budgets by reviewing plans and specifications. You will identify costs, obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors, and analyze information to resolve cost discrepancies.
What you'll need#
We are looking for students who can support our teams in the following capacities:
- Assisting the Project Management team with planning and financial oversight.
- Assisting Project Superintendents with field supervision and site compliance.
- Assisting the Estimating team with budget preparation and cost analysis.
